Physics so Amazing and so Beautiful



Physics, the most basic of the sciences, is all around      are with an urge to understand the world around us which lead us to ask unlimited questions about our surroundings. Physics is in the burner you turn on everyday to make your food, electric light you switch on in the evening and morning, the car you to work, your wrist-watch, computer, cell phone, CD player, radio, refrigerator, multimedia, and that very big plasma TV set you got as a gift, etc. It makes the stars shine every night and the sun shine every day.
A physicist's work usually includes both experimental investigations and theoretical analysis. The Knowledge of physics you acquired opens up your eyes to see the bottom up or top down the world even the universe and thus, yield in analytical, problem-solving, and thinking skill. Understanding of fundamental physics is the very basis of the most recent and future technology. Though many discipline overlaps, a physicist usually specializes in one area of physics. Quantum physics is perhaps the most fascinating branch of physics, as it reveals a world so foreign or tiny to the one we know, it is all but incredible. The job of this area of physics is to take us into the tiniest objects known to us, unlocking the most fundamental levels of matter and light.


Quantum mechanics is most likely the only way to understand how'~A1040ons flow through the solids. Materials that normally do not conduct electric current can be made to conduct when "doped" with atoms of a particular element. This is how we make transistors, microscopic electrical on-off switches which are the basis of our cell phone,nano-iPod, PC, and all the modern electronics that has transformed our lives and economy. Thus, it provides us a powerful and beautiful way to look at and understand the world around us.

Amazing discoveries are currently being made in nanometer scale science inspiring, scientists and engineers. Scientists are learning how to measure, manipulate and organize
matter on the scale of 1 to 100 billionth of a meter. There are prospects now of creating new things atom by atom and molecule by molecule. These exciting promises of  nanoscience and nanotechnology can be realized if we learn to understand the laws that control the behavior of quantum particles on these scales. Figure below shows an image of atomic resolution taken by STM which is the incredible contribution of quantum mechanics (quantum particle). Very Big THANK and GRATITUDE to quantum physics for providing us the great opportunity to see an atom (dimension: less than 1 xl 0-9 -m) and guiding us to dream a wide variety of future nanotechnology like molecular electronics, bioelectronics, quantum computer, spintronics, and single electron transistor etc.
